About Dave
As a Certifield Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), I teach movement to everyone. Technique is huge when it comes to exercise. Bad technique means injury at some point. Learn to move first, then build strength on that and you are heading for great things.
I love what I do. I don't consider this a job. It is a career. I have been doing this for over 24 years and love coming to work to help people look better, feel better, and play better. I can't imagine myself doing anything else.
I got started coaching/personal training thanks to a internship that was required as part of graduation from college. I taught beginner strength classes as well as doing exercise prescriptions and learned how to communicate exercise concepts into an easy to understand language to folks who had no clue about exercise.
Now, my coaching is cueing on how to move the body to perform complex strength exercises and make it simple to learn and do.
I graduated from Springfield College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health/Fitness in 1993. Since then I have worked with morbidly obese, college athletes, and general fitness folks looking to reach their fitness goals.
I personally used to bodybuild back in my 20's and then started mountain bike racing in my late 20's into early 30's. Since then I have been keeping myself in shape to help me stay young and keep up with my family.

The initial few sessions are learning about muscle activation and mobility, two components that most people do not have enough of. From there we build strength gradually by slowly integrating movement based strength exercises.

Prices depend on the number of sessions purchased, the more sessions you purchase, the cheaper it is per session, but the hourly rate for our personal training services runs from $59-$65/hour.
