About Locry
I have worked in the television and movie industry since 2001 primarily as a 3D modeler/animator, compositor, and VFX shoot supervisor.
Having a solid background in Industrial Design and cinematography. Both have influenced my 3D modelling and animation skills. I have a keen eye for even the smallest details.
I consider the unbound nature of science-fiction an important influence with regards to creativity and imagination. In fact, after discovering that the people
who started ILM were industrial designers, I left Computer Science and have lived a happy life since by combining both disciplines. Imagine being able to imagine, design, and build something from scratch... and back it up with electronics and programming to make it work and function.

It was fairly recently, around 2015, that I got into teaching. I was given the opportunity to teach Robotics to Elem and HS students.
It was then that I realized that sharing my passion for imagining, creating, and building was equally fulfilling. I have
managed to combine both my courses: "Industrial Design" and "ComSci" into a discipline: Maker (Robotics/Mechatronics).
Design, fabrication, 3D modeling and 3D printing, Arduino programming and prototyping, automation, and software. A dangerous combination. ;)
Lessons will be tailored to each individual's interests and capabilities. There is no set lesson plan. The goal by the end of the course, is for them to be able BUILD something, a product that functions either mechanically or electronically(arduino based), ideally BOTH.
No need for prior knowledge...
I only ask for one thing though: INTEREST. It will make or break their learning journey. DO NOT FORCE your kids into this. ;)
