About Tejashvar

Hello, I’m Tejashvar K R, a dedicated chess strategist (also a district level chess player), full-stack developer, and student at CHRIST (Deemed to be University). My approach to chess is deeply influenced by the analytical rigor of software engineering—treating the board as a complex system where every move is a calculated decision. Having followed the professional Indian chess circuit closely, I bring a modern, competitive edge to my coaching.

I pride myself on patience, professionalism, and structural thinking. I don't just teach you "good moves"; I teach you the logic behind positional advantages and tactical patterns. Whether you are a beginner looking to understand the fundamentals or an intermediate player aiming to increase your ELO rating, I provide a disciplined yet supportive environment to help you outthink your opponents and master the game.

Teaching Techniques & Methods

My method focuses on Pattern Recognition and Critical Analysis. We move beyond rote memorization to develop a deep "chess intuition."

Tactical Puzzles: We use themed puzzles to sharpen your "tactical eye" for forks, pins, and skewers.

Positional Strategy: I teach you how to evaluate a board state—assessing pawn structures, piece activity, and king safety.

The "Candidate Move" Method: I train you to identify the 2-3 best possible moves in any position before committing, a habit used by Grandmasters.

The Structure of a Class

Game Analysis (15 mins): We review a recent game you played (or a classic GM game) to identify mistakes and "missed wins."

Theoretical Study (15 mins): Deep dive into a specific opening or an endgame technique (e.g., Opposition or Lucena Position).

The Tactical Drill (15 mins): High-intensity puzzle solving to build speed and accuracy under pressure.

Practice & Review (15 mins): A blitz or rapid game where we apply the day’s lesson in real-time, followed by an immediate debrief.

Special Features

Analytical Rigor: As a developer, I use engine analysis (Stockfish) to show you the "mathematical" truth of a position while explaining it in human terms.

Mentor Insights: I incorporate training philosophies from the Indian chess circuit to help you stay calm and focused.

Custom Training Plan: I provide "homework" consisting of specific puzzles and study material tailored to your current weaknesses.

Who are these classes for?

School Students: Children looking to improve their concentration, memory, and logical thinking through the game of chess.

Beginner Adults: Those who know how the pieces move but want to understand the actual strategy of winning.

Club Players: Intermediate learners looking to break through a rating plateau by refining their opening repertoire and endgame precision.
