About Margaret
"How do you decide which piece coordinates best when the position becomes chaotic? I guide intermediate players through complex game analysis by identifying the exact tactical patterns that shifted the balance of the board. We spend time building your calculation and visualization skills so that you can navigate those critical middlegame plans with total confidence.
My approach ensures that we examine your specific pawn structures and defensive technique during every single session. We implement weekly puzzle sets to reinforce the lessons regarding king safety and piece coordination. By reviewing actual tournament games, we clarify why certain moves succeeded or failed in real time. This process creates a clear path for students to sharpen their competitive edge as we look at the board together."

"Competitive students and rated juniors often find me while seeking a serious edge in their play. Having competed in over 150 rated tournaments across Australia and internationally, I approach the board with a veteran mindset. My coaching is structured through openings, tactics, middlegame plans, and endings to ensure total coverage of the board. I have spent 9 years refining these methods to help players master pawn structures and piece coordination.
Developing deep calculation and visualization skills remains central to my instruction. I emphasize king safety and defensive technique as much as attacking patterns. It is always a pleasure to discuss how we might work together on your game."
