About Tamara
Currently reading for a degree in PPE from Oxford, doing such a broad course enables me to think outside the box and has given me high level knowledge of various relevant fields such as Maths and History. Having taken an A Level in Spanish (and being a native Spanish speaker!) have given me the breadth and fluency to teach Spanish in both an informal, conversational context and in the more academic context of studying for an examination. In addition, I have A Levels in Maths and English Literature, and would be able to teach those as well.

I believe that understanding is crucial to learning any subject. Whilst rope learning may be helpful under certain contexts, I strongly emphasise lateral thinking and in depth understanding of the subject matter whilst teaching, leaving memorisation aside until such a grasp is attained. In order to help a student understand a subject, I adopt tutorial style teaching similar to that used at Oxford to quiz and push a student gently to reach answers themselves, as well as seeking their own thoughts, opinions, and approaches before revealing my own.
