About Joseph
I have loved teaching since I was much younger, when I’d teach my classmates different subjects, this has made me love teaching even until date. I have a Diploma in Computing and Systems Development and BSc. in Computing. I work hard, have resilience and the can-do attitude towards learning. I have been teaching professionally for over five (5) years my focus has been on British and Nigeria curricula, with this I have been able to help a lot of students home and abroad with a higher grade and show a much better attitude towards subjects the students find difficult. Computer Science, English Language, Science, and Mathematics are the areas I specialize in, especially for Primary and JSS students. I have assisted a lot of students to prepare for Common Entrance, JSCE, BECE, and IGCSE. Also, I teach Senior Secondary and University students subjects like; Computer Science/Programming, English Language, and Mathematics, I also assist adults and early learners with Literacy, Phonics, Numeracy, and Handwriting improvement. In addition, I also teach working professionals programming (basically, web and mobile applications) and Database Engineering. My main aim for each session I have with my students is hard work, can-do spirit, and a positive attitude generally towards their education. More so, each session is well structured to soothe the learning abilities of each learner, with homework assigned at the end of each session and assessment is given to have a good understanding of how each learner is doing. Also, I get feedback from students and parents/guardians if applicable. I look forward to hearing from you and assisting in achieving greater success in your studies and careers.

As a tutor there is no ‘one size fits all’ solution, so here is a range of effective teaching strategies I use to inspire my classroom practice: Visualization (bringing full academic concepts to life with visual and practical learning experiences, helping my students to understand how their schooling applies in the real-world), Inquiry-based instruction (Pose thought-provoking questions which inspire my students to think for themselves and become more independent learners), Technology in class (Incorporating technology into my teaching has been a great way to actively engage my students, especially as digital media surrounds young people in the 21st century). My main aim for each session I have with my students is hard work, can-do spirit, and a positive attitude generally towards their education. Furthermore, my main approach to my classes is serving as a role model, this is achieved by being confident, responsible, reflective, innovative, and engaged.
