I have extensive experience with modern programming languages (python, javascript, typescript, C#, etc.) and frameworks such as React, Angular, Ionic and Node.js (full stack web development).
I also have a keen interest in Data Science (especially Machine Learning and Deep Learning). As such I have extensively used scikit-learn (for ML) and Tensorflow, Keras and Pytorch for DL. I have developed projects in varied areas such as Computer Vision, Reinforcment Learning, Natural Language Processing etc.
I have experience tutoring teenagers and above the basics of web development (HTML, CSS, Javascript) and modern front end frameworks such as Angular and React.
I have also tutored teenagers and above on the fundamentals of modern programming languages. I mainly utilise python and javascript in this regard so that programming constructs can more easily be introduced. Similarly, I have used Python and PyGame to teach fundamentals of modern programming languages whilst developing interactive games.
My approach to teaching programming is the same one I used to learn programming when I was young: a good mix of theory with practical exercises and challenges. I strongly believe that just like learning how to ride a bike or drive a car, you need theory but more importantly you need to apply the knowledge you gain as quickly as possible (along with guidance along the way).
