About Arlinda
I am a philosopher with an MPhil in Philosophy, specializing in aesthetics, art theory, and the relationship between creativity and critical thought. My academic work and teaching focus on how we understand and interpret art, as well as how philosophical ideas shape the way we see the world.
Alongside my academic background, I am a practicing visual artist and have spent many years engaged in creative work, particularly portraiture. This combination of philosophy and artistic practice deeply informs my teaching and allows me to approach ideas from both a theoretical and lived perspective.
Outside of philosophy and art, I enjoy cycling, traveling, and music, all of which continue to influence my thinking and creative outlook. I value curiosity, dialogue, and the exploration of ideas across disciplines.
I aim to create an open and engaging space where students can develop confidence in their thinking, ask meaningful questions, and explore philosophy in a way that feels relevant to their own interests and experiences.

My teaching approach is discussion-based, analytical, and student-centered, with an emphasis on developing clear thinking and intellectual confidence. I guide students through key ideas in aesthetics, art theory, critical thinking, and creativity by combining close reading of philosophical texts with real-world examples from art and culture.
A typical lesson includes exploring a central question or concept, breaking down relevant philosophical arguments, and engaging in guided discussion to develop interpretation and independent thinking skills. I also encourage students to connect theory with their own experiences, artistic interests, or academic goals.
What sets me apart is my MPhil-level academic training combined with interdisciplinary experience in the arts. This allows me to make complex philosophical ideas accessible, engaging, and relevant beyond the classroom.
My lessons are suitable for beginners curious about philosophy, as well as university students or advanced learners seeking deeper understanding of aesthetics, art theory, or critical thinking skills.
Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the teacher
Arlinda is an excellent professor. She has deep knowledge of the elements, principles and philosophy of art. Additionally, her technical skills are superb and she has a great way of demonstrating and explaining how you can apply these techniques to improve your own art. I learned a great deal from her and I am so happy with the improvements I have made in my own art. Arlinda was able to show me in a way that I could relax and enjoy the process without feeling nervous. She has a good sense of humor and that helps. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to teach them or help them improve their skills in drawing and painting.
Arlinda was my fine arts professor at a private university I attended. I enjoyed her knowledge and enthusiasm.
Arlinda was one of my favorite professors through my whole college career. She’s very fun and passionate. You can tell she really loves what she does and cares about her students.
