About Isabella

I have been tutoring English for students aged 12-16 for 8 months and my teaching style is to tailor each session to the students' needs. When tutoring I always ask students what they would like to cover and have topics prepared. I like to make the lessons as reactive as possible ensuring students understand the content as well. Furthermore, at the same time making the lessons as enjoyable as possible. With my tutoring experience teaching English, I wish to apply it to my love of Philosophy of which I have studied at A level, undergraduate and Masters. I understand and know the importance of breaking down the content of topics and reviewing how students are progressing, not being afraid to go back over topics or taking some more time on particular topics. I am a someone who enjoys writing, reading, cycling and going out for long walks. Izzy tutored my daughter for GCSE English Literature and Language. She was very enthusiastic, very well prepared - would always email my daughter and I the work she was covering in the next session. She would set how work that she would always mark and go through. She was very patient with my daughter who didn’t always have her work ready on time. Izzy was really good at listening and working with whatever my daughter highlighted she needed help with. Izzy had a set session time but was also flexible closer to the exams that was really helpful and reassuring for my daughter.
