About Rajeswari
I am a researcher interested in computer science. I am on a career break after my PhD in CS at IITD. While I work on my health issues, I would like to teach any interested (or extremely scared) student the joys of programming in C++. I have seen too many students (even IIT Btechs!) struggle to design a program nicely, using abstraction and modularity, and exploiting existing modules from STL, BOOST, etc. It would be a pleasure to teach and send out a few souls who not only can code, but can code well while enjoying it!

My approach is similar to that used in IITs in that, no, I will not teach the syntax of the programming language. If necessary, I will give a quick tour of the syntax, walk you through some examples, provide reading material, and you should be good with basic syntax. I would rather spend time on teaching good programming practice and modular code design. Learning would happen by doing progressively complex assignments, and teaching occurs by correcting the students when they seem to get stuck or wander too far into the abyss.
In this sense, my teaching style is teaching and guiding - not tutoring.
