About Ruben
I have a secondary and complete professional course at the Escola de Música do Conservatório Nacional (Lisbon) in the field of trumpeter.
I attended numerous workshops/masterclasses with renowned trumpet teachers such as: Reinhold Friedrich, Hakan Hardenberger, among others...
I participated in various orchestral stages across the country.
At the moment I don't have any professional experience but the fact that I have a young teacher makes the student have a comfortable environment to learn and internalize knowledge much faster.
With the 4 years of this course I developed several methods and knowledge to evolve as a musician and transmit to others.

Hi! My name is Ruben Serrão!
Would you like to take classical or jazz trumpet lessons? Do you want to do it but don't know how to read music yet?
Let me help you...
In my classes you will have the tools you need to learn this instrument and above all, HAVE FUN with the music!
First of all, I would like to tell you a little about my journey through this world that is Music.
This whole trip started with 2 philharmonic bands in my region where I learned to read scores and give my first notes on my instrument.
During this stage, which lasted 10 years, I completed the 8th degree at the Escola de Música do Conservatório Nacional (Lisbon), in the professional course of Wind and Percussion Instrumentalist.
Later, I decided that my path would be through Jazz and, without a doubt, I did not hesitate to choose the best school to be able to learn this style, the HotClube de Portugal, where I was a student of great figures of current jazz.
In this way I have had shows in the two Big Band's that I attend, the Orquestra de Jazz de Setúbal and the BigDave's Band.
At the moment, I am in the Jazz Degree at the University of Évora where I believe I will expand my knowledge even more.
I'm sure I have the essential skills/tools to pass on the knowledge and above all, the fun that music is!
