About Methode
I am highly analytical minded, motivated and conscientious Statistician/Research Analyst with education background in statistics with Bachelor of Science in Applied Statistics (with second class honors, upper division) from the University of Rwanda. I am also holder of Master of Public Administration with concentration in Public policy analysis from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, a world prestigious university ranked 15th Globally according to QS World University Rankings 2021. I do also possess a Professional certificate in Research Methods and design, sampling program for Survey Statisticians (SPSS) from Survey Research Centre (SRC) of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA.
I do have over 5 years’ progressive experience, from the year 2016 until now, in the design and implementation of national and global statistical work programs covering social, demographic, Health, economic, poverty, agricultural, trade, financial and Labour statistics. I am a Strategic thinker with a proven track record of capacity that responds to data requirements of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). My expertise includes sample survey design, development of data collection tools (such as paper based questionnaires, CAPI and CATI applications among others), and development of data management tools, data processing, statistical analyses as well as report writing. I have spent significant amount of time at the National institute of Statistics of Rwanda (NISR) extracting insights from data. During my time at NISR, I have managed large-scale national research surveys from sample design stage, data collection, data processing, data management through analysis and production of finals reports.
I have taken leading roles together with teams of expert statisticians in different surveys including the design and implementation of Integrated Household Living Conditions Surveys (EICV 4&5), Rwanda labour force survey (RLFS, 2017,2018,2019,2020,2021), and Consumer price index (CPI), Establishment Census 2020, as well as the recent Demographic and Health Survey (RDHS-2019/20) among others. Currently, I am cornerstone in a team of Analyst Statisticians of the Rwanda Quarterly Labour force survey (QLFS) mainly designed for timely production of key labour market indicators in Rwanda including skills need assessment modules that helps in identifying different sector need for capacity development. I have also been teaching Statistical computing and sampling Methods, as part-time lecturer in the department of applied Statistics of the College of Business and Economics, University of Rwanda since March 2020 up to now. I have also worked at the Supreme Court of Rwanda as Registrar & Court Cases Analyst from March 2012 to June 2014, dealing with judicial cases management and processing. I do have expertise with statistical packages such as SPSS, STATA, R programming, Advanced Excel and working knowledge in Python programming language.
