About Sowmiya
I have been a private tutor of advanced programming skills in C and C++ since 3 years. I have helped various students in developing their programming skills by giving them personal time and attention. Some of them are planning to pursue computer science in their bachelors degree and some have already landed in top universities with computer science as their major in graduation.
I have completed my masters degree in mathematics and computing. So, i have relevant experience with C,C++ and java.
During my significant experience with teaching i have realized that with little patience and dedication, we as teachers can completely transform the future of our students. We can give them a right direction and a hope to build a bright future. We can also make things interesting for our students if we deliver them in a right way.

I start from the most basic and assume that the learner knows nothing and totally relies on me. I make the learner realize link between ‘Logic’ and the ‘Algorithm’ for a problem. Once the learner understands this link, I further teach about some common ways to design algorithms. These includes basic constructs of coding like decision making (if-else), recursive actions (loops), storing data (memory structures), task assigning (functions), work distribution (threads) etc. These basics are common to every programming language and coding platform, right from simple embedded systems to complicated multilayered architectures.
Once the basic constructs are clear, it is very easy for learner for grasp the syntax level constructs and features of the programming language one is working with.
