About Ye
I have been passionate about Weiqi since childhood and it remains one of the most important parts of my life. As someone who achieved Amateur 5-Dan at a young age and competed at a high level, I hope to share my experience with more people and help promote the game.
I enjoy helping others improve and discover the beauty of Weiqi. Beyond winning games, I believe Weiqi teaches patience, discipline, decision-making, and strategic thinking—valuable skills that can also be applied in everyday life. Through teaching, I hope to help more students appreciate the game and develop a lifelong interest in it.

I teach Weiqi (Go) in both English and Chinese, and I am familiar with Weiqi terminology in both languages. Having trained in a professional Weiqi academy environment in China, where future professional players were developed, I gained exposure to advanced game analysis, strategic thinking, and discussions on chess principles with strong players.
My teaching focuses not only on moves and tactics, but also on understanding the underlying logic and concepts behind the game. I can teach students of all ages, from complete beginners who have never played before to intermediate and advanced players. Whether your goal is to learn the basics, improve your reading ability, strengthen your positional judgment, or climb the ranks on Fox Go or Tygem, I can tailor lessons to your level. I am comfortable teaching players up to approximately Fox/tygem 7-Dan level.
