About Rowelanne
I studied Japanese at ANU and have lived in Japan for a total of 4 years. I hold the second highest level of fluency (N2) in the Japanese Langauge Proficiency Test, (but I'm nowhere near perfect yet!). In Japan, I taught English to all demographics from toddlers to senior citizens, and all situations from schools, community groups and individuals in their home. I have taught Japanese as a volunteer in preschools, primary schools and now as a teacher in high school.

I try to adapt my teaching methodology to the needs of the student(s). I have the most experience with teaching groups of students through games. I also try to incorporate my musical talents to create more memorable teaching moments. For one on one situations, I work to build a relationship of trust and teach through trying to cater to their interests. In general, when learning a language, repetition is key, and making mistakes are necessary so I also try to create a comfortable environment that eliminates embarrassment and boredom.
