About Gabriella

Started in the little town of Sedalia , Colorado and since expanded to serve Honea Path, South Carolina and surrounding areas, Inspiring Strides is a horsemanship program developed to easily introduce any new horse-lover to the equestrian world.

Whether you have a child who is looking to start riding, have a fear of horses you want to overcome, or simply want to enjoy riding in a laid-back environment, Inspiring Strides is here to guide and nurture a strong bond between horse and rider. We instill confidence in our riders through slow progression based on the participant’s comfort level.

I have been involved in therapeutic riding since 2013, assisting with lessons, running summer camps, and conditioning horses. I have been working with students one-on-one since 2015 and attended a year-long mentorship under a PATH certified instructor, allowing my teaching to be developed and critiqued. I tested for my PATH certification in 2019 where my riding and teaching were judged by a panel of professionals. I have been teaching independently, and continuing to grow my skills since I received notice of passing my PATH tests in March, 2019.



I am certifiedby PATH International, a non-profit organization that promotes equine assisted activities and therapies for individuals with special needs. My riding instructor certification holds me to a high level of standards regarding care for my horses, as well as for my participants. The testing and certification process for PATH is lengthy and challenging, and maintaining your certification requires continuing education every year. What does this mean for you? I am educated and dedicated to providing well planned and comprehensive lessons to you. I am always learning new ways of teaching, which allows me to provide the best lessons for you or your child.

I want you to meet me and my herd and ask any questions you may have about us so that you feel comfortable and confident that Inspiring Strides is the right program for you. We take time to make sure all the necessary paperwork is in order, and yes, the option to ride is available during this meeting.



I have worked with all types of students. The have ranged in age from 4 to 60, previous knowledge of horses from those who were scared to those who brought their own horses with them, and abilites from able bodied to disabled.



My advice to anyone looking for horseback riding lessons is to find an instructor that matches your needs and goals. Instructors like me won't be able to take you to shows, but can create extremely confident and knowledgable equestrians by teaching you everything from the ground up. So, have an idea of what you're looking for in mind and try a few out (I offer my first lesson for free!) before you commit to months of lessons.
