I am a computer scientist who graduated in 2019 from UC Irvine, a top school for computer science. I have numerous advanced topics under my belt (like machine learning), but I'm interested in teaching others with no previous experience how to program in Python.

We'll start with an introduction to the field, some terminology, and the (free) tools you'll need to get started. We will then begin to learn how to program in Python, starting with the basics of course. With programming, you learn by interacting and doing. As we go through each topic, you should put it into practice if you want to learn and retain it. Therefore, the class will be an interactive class - you'll get to ask questions during class, and there will be problems given during class that you'll need to solve. Finally, you'll be given a fun coding assignment after each class that will solidfy your understanding of the discussed topic and help you retain it.
If the class wants to dive into certain topics, we can take a detour and do what the class wants!
