She's gained a lot of Japanese knowledge from them so she can teach not only grammar but also other aspects of Japanese such as dialect. In learning Japanese, this is very important because people would see some difficulties when it comes to understanding it. For example, oral Japanese isn't textbook Japanese. People mostly use dialect in daily life. Without knowing this, you could not, in a real sense, say you know Japanese. She speaks real Japanese.
2. She is very friendly and tolerant. We have known each other for more than a half of year. We have sometimes taught each other English, Spanish, and Japanese. She has also taught me a lot of Spanish vocabulary. I always forget things, but she remains patient. She just teaches me again and encourages me to learn. Therefore, I could develop my English and Spanish more. She would never discourage you and would pave the way to be a real Japanese speaker.
