About Hattie
Hi, I'm Hattie and I've just finished my A-levels. In the autumn I am going to Cambridge University to study history and modern languages, and I am happy to help anyone with primary to secondary school maths! I offer 1 to 2 hour lessons per week online, and am happy to tailor each lesson to the pupil's specific needs - whether that be going through an entire exam paper or focusing on a specific skill.

By experience I know how beneficial one-to-one maths teaching can be, especially as the maths gets more difficult at GCSE level and pupils may feel too rushed in class to thoroughly understand what's going on. At GCSE, I achieved a grade 8, and when I started A-level I decided to aspire to an A or A*. I quickly learnt that becoming successful in maths comes down to not just constant practice but enjoyment of problem-solving and determination to succeed! My teaching experience comes from tutoring other students one-to-one at school and teaching dinghy sailing both at beginner level and at a more advanced and competitive level. This means I have experienced teaching children of all ages, personalities, needs and abilities, and am used to being flexible and adaptable to suit the child's needs.
