About Elliot
Hi i'm Elliot. I am an undergraduate computer scientist which will soon be learning at University after I have completed my gap year. I have learnt, worked and taught computer science my whole life. I have worked a computer repair job helping a wide range of people through their issues and I think those skills transfer to tutoring.
I received an A at A level Computer Science and feel confident in teaching GCSE and A Level Computer Science under any exam boards syllabuses.

I will utilize a variety of teaching methodologies to ensure that my students understand the concepts thoroughly and can apply them in real-world situations.
Some of the teaching methodologies that I would incorporate in my lessons include:
-Visual aids: I would use visual aids such as diagrams, charts, and videos to help students understand complex concepts in computer science. These aids would be particularly useful in explaining abstract concepts such as algorithms and data structures.
-Problem-based learning: In problem-based learning, students are presented with real-world problems that require them to use their knowledge and skills to find solutions. This approach can be very effective in computer science, as it helps students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
-Hands-on learning: Computer science is a subject that requires practical experience to understand fully. As a tutor, I would provide students with hands-on learning experiences, such as programming assignments and projects, to reinforce their understanding of the concepts. (I won't over do this as this can provide extra stress for the student especially in a final year)
By incorporating these teaching methods, I would help my students to develop the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in computer science.
