About Mot
My name is Mot Collins and I am an experienced zine creator and tutor. I have self-published a number of my own zines and have been a featured contributor in many others. I have also taught zine creation workshops to young adults as part of the Cúirt International Festival of Literature in my hometown of Galway, Ireland. I am extremely passionate about empowering soon-to-be zinesters to follow their inspiration and create publications that honour their voices.

My lessons take students from conception to creation of their zines, with a dash of art history thrown in. Each session is designed to inspire and empower students to interpret zine making in their own way, framed by the political and artistic importance of the artform. Students will learn how zines have influenced feminist and gay rights movements, punk rock, science fiction, comics, and more.
