About Yuliya
From a young age, Ukrainian violinist Yuliya Ostapchuk was awarded prizes at several international competitions and participated in masterclasses with violinists such as Igor Ozim, Mi-Kyung Lee, Maxim Vengerov as well as Keshet Eilon International Summercourse. In 2011, Yuliya moved to London to study at the Purcell School of Music and has since performed recitals at Milton Court and Wigmore Hall as well as concerti across Europe. Yuliya won the Arthur Felsenstein Leaver’s award before joining The Royal Academy of Music in 2017, graduating with First-Class Honours as well as a Licenciate Diploma in teaching. Later in 2021, Ostapchuk went onto her Master’s degree at The Royal College of Music, studying with Itzhak Rashkovsky. During her studies, Yuliya has worked with esteemed conductors, to name a few - Semyon Bychkov, Vasily Petrenko, Charles Dutoit and Marin Alsop. Most recently, Yuliya performed Beethoven Symphony No. 9 memorised as part of Aurora Orchestra at The Royal Albert Hall BBC Prom 2024 and joined them for the UK/Switzerland tour of Stravinsky’s Firebird memorised. Ostapchuk also performs regularly with Royal Philharmonic Orchestra after being selected for a trial, one of the memorable performances including British Summer Time Festival at Hyde Park in the Andrea Bocelli’s 30th Anniversary concert alongside Hans Zimmer. Yuliya is currently on trial with BBC Philharmonic Orchestra and The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. As an active orchestral player, Yuliya currently holds a position of Violin 1 in the UAE National Orchestra in Abu Dhabi. In the past years, Yuliya played with orchestras such as Aurora Orchestra, Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra and has performed internationally in venues including Berlin Konzerthaus, Tonhalle Zurich, Paris Theatre Du Chatelet and Dubai Opera. In 2023, Ostapchuk was selected as Glyndebourneʼs Jerwood ‘Pit Perfect’ recipient to join the company for autumn season. Later on in 2024, Ostapchuk was selected for the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra Career Accelerator Scheme. Yuliya is also an Associate Fellow of The Alpine Fellowship and a 2022 Benedetti Foundation Ambassador. Yuliya is deeply grateful to the Harrison Frank Family Foundation for the two-year loan of a Santagiuliana 1790 violin, which played a significant role in her recent artistic development.

Individual lessons for Piano, Violin, Theory & Aural are provided at the comfort of your home or online for all ages, including adults, who never played music before! Adult's music dream comes true, never too late! For ABRSM and Trinity exams it is advisable to take lessons twice a week for the best results. Please be aware that ABRSM & Trinity exams require to pass Theory exam for Grade 5 in order to apply for practical/instrumental above grade 6. Theory and Aural lessons are important not only for the exams but also for a better understanding of music structure and simple rules, it allows a student to be less dependent on teachers and gives an opportunity to play new pieces without asking for help.
