About Arjun
In terms of my background, I went to a grammar school where I got 9 A*s and 3 As in my GCSEs and 4 As at A-level (before they introduced the A* at that stage). I have A-levels in History, Maths, Further Maths and Classics.
I then studied law at Oxford. After graduating with a 2:1, I studied, trained and qualified as a lawyer and have been practising law for 6 years in a variety of legal areas which include contract and business law. I've also stood before a judge in court on a few occasions!
I like to see myself as friendly, easy to work with, approachable and driven. In my spare time, I like to exercise and read and write history. I have written a book on world history in case anyone is interested! I live in Wimbledon with my partner.

My name is Arj and I'm a lawyer and tutor. I’m excited to help you with your studies. I know what it’s like a week before those all-important exams fretting about whether you’ve fit all of that knowledge in your brain and hoping you will perform well on the day. I’ve been there!
My strengths as an academic are revision, exam preparation and performance: making sure I do what I need to do to achieve the grades I’m looking for. These are skills that can be learned and I will help you with that. I will help you with exam technique, retaining knowledge and breaking things down into bite-size chunks so that the information is easier to digest.
I would guess that the reason you’ve come onto this platform is to ensure you can achieve the best possible grades for yourself. Having said that, there may be all kinds of reasons and you are in the driving seat in terms of what you want to get out of the classes. In any event, I can help guide you in building a plan and then working through it with you.
The first class would be an introductory session where I find out about you and what you are looking to get out of the tutorials. I would then build a lesson action plan, making sure that we set SMART targets for each class. By SMART targets I mean targets which are specific, measurable, accurate, realistic and timely.
The big win is achieved by lots of little small wins. I will break things down for you into manageable bite-size chunks. I will help with revision tips and how to stay productive during revision.
