About Leanne
Hello, I'm Leanne! I'm here to help you learn Japanese in a relaxed and enjoyable way. I come from a unique background—half Japanese and half Australian—and Japanese is my native language. Don't worry, though; I'm fluent in English, so we'll have no language barriers.
My educational journey is quite interesting. I completed my high school education in Japan and then pursued my university degree in Australia, specializing in Japanese language and culture. This experience gives me a well-rounded perspective on teaching Japanese.
Teaching is something I truly enjoy. I've had the pleasure of teaching Japanese to people of all ages, from 4-year-olds to grandparents. Whether you're a beginner or looking to enhance your skills, I'm here to support you every step of the way.
What sets me apart is that I've been in your shoes. I started learning English when I was 16, so I understand the challenges of learning a second language. We'll take a gentle and enjoyable approach to language learning, making it a stress-free experience.
If you're looking for a patient, knowledgeable, and fun Japanese teacher, I'd be thrilled to guide you on this language-learning journey. Let's make learning Japanese a delightful adventure!

Hello there! Welcome to my teaching approach that’s all about your needs. First and foremost, I truly believe that speaking is the most effective way to acquire a language, and I'm all about creating a friendly and interactive learning environment to enhance your listening and speaking skills.
If your goal is to master "natural" Japanese, beyond what textbooks can offer, then I'm your ideal choice! We can have everyday conversations or even role-play scenarios that match your specific goals. And, not only that, but I’m also here to provide academic support too. Whether you need help proofreading your Japanese essays or assistance with schoolwork, I've got your back.
So, let's get started on your language-learning journey, customized precisely to meet your unique objectives. Feel free to share your goals during our initial meeting, and together, we'll make language learning fun and effective! I can't wait to be a part of your language-learning adventure!
