I’m a guitar tutor with 6 years of experience helping dedicated players reach the next level in their musical careers. I hold a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in Guitar Performance, and my focus is on preparing students for high-level opportunities in the professional music world. Whether you're getting ready for a touring band audition, a recording session, or applying to an advanced composition program, I offer the tools and guidance to help you succeed. My passion lies in unlocking each student’s creative and performance potential. I take pride in building a supportive, focused environment where your goals become the center of every lesson. Together, we’ll sharpen your technique, refine your tone, and develop the confidence needed to perform under pressure. I work closely with students on everything from advanced solo preparation to composing and arranging for auditions and studio sessions. My teaching approach is built around preparing students for real-world performance and ensemble playing. Whether you're stepping into your first band rehearsal or looking to feel more confident on stage, I guide you through the skills that matter most in group settings. We’ll cover topics like timing, dynamics, and how to listen and respond musically to others.
I place a strong focus on band dynamics—how to support other instruments, take the lead when it’s your time, and blend as part of a team. You’ll also learn about live performance etiquette, gear setup, and the small details that make a big difference on stage. From managing nerves to making a strong impression in a live setting, we’ll work through it all.
I’m especially good with The Fingerstyle Enthusiast and The Late Bloomer—players who are passionate and ready to grow, no matter their starting point. My lessons are encouraging, practical, and always tailored to your pace. You’ll get honest feedback, performance tips, and the experience needed to shine with others.
