About Lucie
For 13 years, I taught grades 3-12 in 6 different states and over 8 subjects. Then, I wrote a newspaper and online Q&A column for teens for 17 years with 8000 letters published. I even hosted a call-in radio show,

My teaching method is simple. My goal is to help my students learn and I expect their full participation to accomplish that goal. Neither student nor teacher can do it alone.
Learning is an important and universally applicable skill in itself. I show students ways to learn.
I use assertive tools to put my students in charge of their progress, making sure all they need to know and do is clear.
We focus on learning the material until mastered and my student is comfortable to move on. That’s the gift to both of us with tutoring.
