About Zareen
Passionate game designer and developer with a special interest in developing realistic game AI and NPC systems for immersive gameplay. Adept at combining technical abilities with creative vision in collaborative environments to craft engaging gaming experiences. 1. Project based learning. I teach students by having them work on projects of differing levels in difficulty. As they build and iterate and improve on their projects they'll slowly become familiar with the engine, the language and the techniques used to develop videogames.
2. I work with them from ground 0. Have them set up a basic level and game objects. Then we give each game object the properties we desire it to display in-game; following which we start on interactions i.e reading player input and having the in-game character move accordingly, pick up items when you walk over them etc. A game at the beginner level takes around 4 classes to complete (keeping in mind the student is a complete beginner to programming and game design).
3. Recommended for high school students to seniors in college (ages 14 - 22)
