About Robbie
Completing a Master of Science in Mathematics at the University of Michigan provided the foundation for my 9 years of teaching. My real training came from watching where students get stuck. I focus on clearing up that confusion rather than just reading from a standard textbook.
Over the years, I have worked with many families to address their specific academic hurdles. Providing support in algebra, statistics, and probability is a core part of my practice.
I also integrate mental math and Vedic math techniques to build speed. Working with homeschool students allows me to see the full scope of their development. It is genuinely rewarding to watch a student master a concept they once found impossible.

Starting with a diagnostic assessment is actually the least important part of our first hour together. I prefer to jump directly into the specific problems that currently challenge your child.
We analyze the logic behind the error instead of simply correcting the calculation. This method builds lasting confidence in any math curriculum.
Weekly practice worksheets with step-by-step solutions provide a clear roadmap for progress between our meetings. I draw on my background to explain complex ideas in a way that feels accessible and structured. AP math, IB mathematics, and competition math prep are all within my range of expertise. Getting students to recognize their own patterns of thinking makes the process enjoyable for everyone involved.
