About Shridhar
A Microsoft Certified Data Engineer with around 15+ years of total IT experience in SQL Development, ETL, Analysis, Reporting and Administration
• Strong experience writing T-SQL queries to design and develop databases, stored procedures, functions to encapsulate business logic, views for reports with Microsoft recommended best practices.
• Extensive exposure in building integration packages using SSIS from internal and external sources, most commonly used excel, SQL database, Azure storage, Flat files, XML, CSV, oracle and more
• Built a SQL database warehouse combining 2 line of business application data into a single warehouse using Star Schema methodology and applied all standard Microsoft practices and guidelines while designing the data warehouse
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure technologies (Azure blob storage, Azure data lake gen2 storage, Azure data factory, Azure data bricks, Azure SQL database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure functions, Logic Apps)
• Independly built azure dev-ops CI/CD pipelines for Databases, Data factory and Databricks from scratch.
• Good understanding of translating business requirements from the stake holders into meaningful reports and dashboards to represent information which could help making business decisions to achieve better outcomes. Used Visual Studio SSDT for development of reports.
• Experience in building scripts using PowerShell for Azure and to automate tasks in SSIS
• Built several reports using Microsoft Power BI from different sources internal and external to the organisation
• Experience migrating 20+ business critical reports from SSRS to Microsoft Power BI
• Exposure towards building data warehouse using different methodologies based on business requirements.
• Trained ITIL professional with keen interest and solid understanding of ITIL guidelines.
• Exposure towards Azure IAAS deployments and SQL azure migrations. .
• Worked on deploying SharePoint custom solutions and managing SharePoint DBs for the hosted clients.
• Worked within strict SLA guidelines as defined by the company policies.
• Developed several documents on common issues and published periodically to wiki articles.
• Administration, Maintenance , configuration and optimization of SQL server infrastructure(2005, 2008, 2008R2, 2012, 2012R2 and 2016)
• Implemented and supported high availability and disaster recovery solutions for several SQL instances and databases.
