About Dissertation Tutor Nicole
I have practised Ashtanga Yoga since 2007, and have completed teacher trainings with Manju Jois, John Scott, and Carmen Aguilar. I have a deep understanding of each student's needs, and I inspire confidence to go beyond your comfort zone in ways that will surprise you, all the while making sure that you are safe and that your body is in correct alignment.
As a former mental health nurse, I bring a dedicated understanding of the healing role that yoga, breathwork and meditation play in managing both mental and physical health. Many of my private clients have underlying health conditions, and I use my own yoga practice to manage the symptoms of M.E. and fibromyalgia.

I teach students of all levels of physical ability -- I have even taught someone who was completely sight-impaired. I bring warmth, friendliness and a sense of humour into my teaching, in order to put the student at ease and to make the session more enjoyable.
My aim is to support you to learn to breathe in a way that supports your health, and to move through your yoga practice with the aim of developing both strength and flexibility.

Nicole is a very able writer and a confident teacher. She contributed to undergraduate teaching at Newcastle during 2006 and 2007 and was a welcome and popular member of the teaching team. Obtaining my degree would have been a far more stressful and difficult process without the help and guidance of Nicole.
