About Eric
Singing students build pitch control and vocal stamina through consistent warm-up exercises and guided belting technique. You will find that these sessions mirror the disciplined environment of a conservatoire, which is quite useful for exam preparation.
Younger learners and hobbyists often benefit from this methodical structure. Returning learners frequently appreciate the focus on technical foundations that might have been missing previously. My 13 years of experience informs how I navigate these technical hurdles during our time together.
I prefer to maintain a calm atmosphere where each adjustment feels manageable. You can expect a focus on healthy habits that support long-term vocal growth.

Royal Northern College of Music provided the foundation for my Master of Music in Voice. These 13 years of teaching vocalists have been remarkably steady and precise. I work primarily with homeschooled children, grade exam candidates, and those preparing for choral scholarships.
My approach integrates rigorous ABRSM or Trinity grade preparation alongside conservatoire audition coaching. Developing a solid vocal range extension while balancing head and chest voice requires patience. I often assist self-taught players who need structured guidance to refine their technique. Harmony singing and sight singing are essential components of my syllabus.
My method remains grounded in clarity and calm vocal health. I find that building a personal song list based on the individual range of the student helps them engage more deeply. It is a slow, methodical process.
