About Sarah
I am a musician and teacher and have played the violin since I was 6 years old. I love music and play many other instruments as well. I am trained classically and have a music education and degree from Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, OK. I have played violin in a wide range of venues including operas, musicals, orchestras, jazz ensembles, and many contemporary genres as well. I’ve played and recorded with music groups and enjoy taking my violin to the park and sharing my music with others. If you want to learn the violin, I will make it fun and you will be always excited for your next lesson!

I teach violin alongside with music theory and some music history and develop individualized lesson plans according to each student’s talents and needs. I am highly creative and believe that learning an instrument is good for the mind and the soul. But most of all, music should be fun! I enjoy sharing my love of music with others!

I have meet with Sarah about 4 time and I am enjoying my lessons. I found her on SuperProf as I wanted to learn an instrument. I have never played music and have found her to be patient and knowledgeable regarding adult learning. She has wonderful workbook recommendations that she has used for both children and adults. Sarah gave my daughter violin lessons for a few years, and she was SO good with her!! She helped develop her interest in music and kept her attention, which is not easy with my kiddo! My daughter loved taking violin lessons from Sarah!
Sarah has been teaching violin lessons for as long as I can remember in the Oklahoma City area. She utilizes her strenuous academic background in music with a love of teaching and inspiring children to make a program that is fun and challenging. Her careful attention to each student ensures that their style of learning is incorporated into the lessons and improves their chances of success and makes learning fun.
She tutored my daughter for couple years in our house. My daughter learned so much from Sarah and actually became friends, she is amazing, loving, caring- I could go on and on. I created this ad for private violin lessons at a discounted rate of $45/hr, with the first lesson free!!!
This deal is temporary, however, as my usual rate is $50/hr and will go up annually. (I actually haven’t changed that price in 20 years!)
I will go back to the $50/hr starting this summer, beginning in May 2026.
I also add a $5 travel fee for gas if I come to your home for lessons. But if you come to my home you can skip that extra fee.
