About Jocelyn
I am a passionate Guitar tutor with 12 years of teaching experience and a Master’s Degree in Music. I have successfully guided beginners, intermediate learners, and advanced musicians in developing exceptional guitar skills, mastering diverse musical styles, and achieving success in examinations, performances, auditions, and personal musical pursuits.
My teaching philosophy focuses on patience, encouragement, and individualized learning. I believe every student possesses unique musical potential, so I tailor each lesson to suit their strengths, aspirations, and preferred learning style. My goal is to create an inspiring atmosphere where confidence, creativity, and technical excellence flourish together.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy composing original guitar pieces, performing in live music events, exploring blues, jazz, classical, and contemporary genres, collaborating with fellow musicians, and researching innovative music education techniques. These experiences allow me to bring fresh artistic inspiration, practical performance knowledge, and modern teaching strategies into every lesson, making guitar learning both exciting and deeply rewarding.

My guitar lessons are thoughtfully designed to help students of all ages and skill levels develop outstanding musical abilities through engaging, practical, and personalized instruction. Whether you are picking up a guitar for the first time, preparing for music examinations, live performances, auditions, or simply learning as a hobby, every lesson is tailored to your individual goals, musical interests, and learning pace.
I teach acoustic and electric guitar techniques, including chords, strumming, fingerstyle, scales, improvisation, music theory, rhythm, lead guitar, ear training, and expressive performance. Lessons combine structured technical exercises, song-based learning, creative projects, and performance coaching to help students strengthen technique, musical confidence, and artistic expression while enjoying continuous improvement.
Every class creates a motivating environment where students are encouraged to explore their creativity, build discipline, and perform with confidence. Through customized practice routines, regular progress reviews, constructive feedback, and interactive learning activities, students develop strong technical foundations, expressive musicianship, and the confidence to excel on stage or in personal performances.
