A typical lesson starts with a diagnostic activity that allows the student and me to identify key focuses of the target content/skills of the class. The learning is usually done through activity and visualization. Examples are frequently used and I like to collect examples from the student's own work and their context. I always provide detailed feedback to the student's homework. Writing lessons often start with the student's work which I have reviewed before class to provide a clearer focus for improvement.

Familiarity with a wide range of curricula in North America, East Asia, and the UK.
Familiarity with the content, format, and marking schemes of TOEFL and IELTS in the last two decades and up to date.
Experience of having taught thousands of students of various ages and levels in different settings (large groups, small groups, one-on-one, one-on-two/three, online).
