About Marilyn
Drafting remains the easiest part of architecture, while the concept phase is where most students get stuck. I hold an MEng Architecture degree from MIT, though I prioritize practical site analysis over theoretical fluff.
89 students have moved through my studio to build successful portfolios and university applications. I support foundation students and A-level design students who need to bridge the gap between sketching and execution.
Spatial planning and model making are the core pillars of the work we do together. My students are often engineering-bound, meaning they want technical accuracy alongside creative vision. I find that most architectural education ignores the reality of the industry. This is why I focus on the grit of project development.

Screen recording is essential. I provide software walkthroughs recorded for you so that you never forget a complex Revit or SketchUp command. Technical drafting requires a high level of discipline. We analyze your site data together until the spatial planning feels intuitive.
Model making is often misunderstood by beginners, so we look at how to represent form with clarity. Architectural drawing is a language that I have spoken for 13 years.
I enjoy showing my students how to pivot when a design concept fails to translate into a physical build. You will see me demonstrate these techniques live as we refine your portfolio pieces. I keep a record of every session for your future reference. I look forward to seeing your project take shape.
