About Caitlin
I’ve had the privilege of spending over a decade in the professional dance world, including performing for ten years with the Joffrey Ballet of Chicago and two years as the lead alternate in the Broadway National tour of An American In Paris. I trained at the National Ballet School of Canada. I have a deep understanding and appreciation for classical ballet being trained in Vaganova and Cecchetti technique. As well as having a solid foundation and performance experience in Balanchine technique. My teaching journey includes serving as the rehearsal director for the Joffrey Ballet’s Nutcracker Children’s Cast, as well as teaching and choreographing through the Joffrey Ballet’s Community Engagement partnership with After School Matters. I am also currently a substitute for the Grainger Academy of the Joffrey Ballet and I've recently taught creative movement at a local preschool and I enjoy continuing my knowledge of early childhood development. I’m a big believer in trying new things, and I encourage anyone who’s ever wanted to learn ballet to take the leap. I'd love to be with you on that journey!
