About America
Technical fluency at the keyboard is often the biggest barrier to pure musical expression. Most students assume that perfect posture is about stiffness when it is actually about freedom of movement.
I have spent 8 years helping 254 students move past these physical limitations to play with true ease. My journey began with a foundation in classical repertoire and theory, which informs how I teach hand independence and chord voicing today.
We address sight transposition and accompaniment skills so you can navigate any lead sheet with confidence. Learning is individual. I provide free access to my annotated practice notes after every lesson so you can review the technical focus points. Whether you are working on scales, arpeggios, or nuanced pedaling technique, my goal is to give you the tools to succeed independently.

Stiff hands and poor posture often prevent pianists from playing with the dynamic range they hear in their heads. Usually, I find that students are fighting the instrument instead of collaborating with it. By adjusting your alignment and hand position, we can instantly improve your tone and reduce fatigue. We will use my BFA degree training to bridge the gap between complex music theory and practical keyboard application.
You will learn to internalize the logic behind chord voicings and arpeggios. My method relies on clear, annotated practice notes that you receive after every session to keep your progress consistent.
This is a disciplined environment where we treat the piano as a tool for storytelling and technical exploration. We skip the fluff and focus on the mechanics that actually move the needle for your playing. Are you ready to see how your technique feels when you remove the friction?
