About Hoi Keung
“If then I, the Lord and the Master, have made your feet clean, it is right for you to make one another's feet clean. I have given you an example, so that you may do what I have done to you.” (John 13:14-15) With the hope of setting an example for his disciples, Jesus washed their feet and asked them to serve others as well. As a Christian, I believe a teacher should also set a good example for students to follow and use his/her own life to impact others’ lives, as Jesus had done.
In order to have a more democratic and free life, our family immigrated to Canada from Hong Kong in 2021. We also believe that the education here is better for our daughter. I worked as a waiter in my aunts restaurant, in order to get permanent residence in Canada. However I am still missing the teaching days in Hong Kong, I still have a passion for the youth. So I decided to look for a school job again. Although the environment, culture and language are so different in this home Canada, by working in the restaurant for the past two years, I have met many lovely locals, which enabled me to have a better understanding of this new country.
In my view, ‘good’ teachers do not only disseminate knowledge but also care about students’ growth and needs. They are mentors as well as friends to their students. With the belief of making a difference to the future generation”, they would make use of their own experiences to inspire their students to have a better and more positive attitude towards life. I have a dream, which is to imitate Jesus Christ in teaching young people.

I have 15 years teaching experience in HongKong, maybe this is the better method that for local students. And I have the experience in counselling, and can build up a good relationship with students. This is effective way for teaching.
