Sensei is very patient when it comes to teaching students. If you have a problem understanding, she is just a text away. Teaching materials are not only textbooks, she also includes reading Japanese articles and news online. The explanations are very easy to understand, Sensei often uses examples that we can relate to and explain. She also encourages students to speak even if they are not confident, and she will do her best to help them feel comfortable and practise the language with her.

Ellie-sensei is very perceptive during the session and is able to quickly cater to the student’s strengths and provide immediate feedback on how they should improve on their weaknesses. She is also a very natural conversationalist and is able to blend teaching with practical conversational tips as well. Very friendly and welcoming, perfect for beginner learners of the language.
