About Anthony
You will find that our time together focuses on active participation rather than just passive listening. We explore pronunciation, reading comprehension, and business English through a blend of song-based practice and standard exercises.
IELTS candidates receive rigorous support, while absolute beginners build confidence using simple, rhythmic language drills. Everything we do is grounded in my MA Music Education degree to ensure a steady, musical flow of information. Homework modules with feedback after every class ensure you stay on track. Results are built through consistent, deliberate practice.

Beginner students and IELTS candidates often come to me feeling overwhelmed by the complexity of a new language. Sometimes I admit that learning a new grammar structure feels just like trying to learn a difficult guitar solo for the first time. Having 13 years of experience allows me to blend my MA Music Education and TESOL training into a cohesive method for newcomer families.
My background in Toronto and Vancouver informs how I support learners as they navigate their unique identities. Working with students through songs and structured exercises makes the transition to English fluency much smoother. I hold a deep appreciation for the way music bridges the gap for those who feel intimidated by formal study.
My own journey as an identity-affirming teacher keeps my instruction grounded in empathy and practical application. Seeing a student finally grasp a complex phrasal verb during a conversation feels incredibly rewarding. Helping people articulate their stories during interview preparation is genuinely satisfying work.
