About Nia
My teaching approach to guitar is built on patience, creativity, and helping each student connect deeply with music. I begin by focusing on strong basics such as chords, scales, strumming, and rhythm. Once the foundation is solid, I guide learners into their preferred styles, whether that’s acoustic, electric, classical, or jazz. I believe music can be more than just performance—it can be a form of mindfulness. I encourage students to use guitar playing as a tool for focus, relaxation, and emotional expression. Slow practice methods are a key part of my lessons, allowing learners to develop accuracy and confidence step by step. Tone awareness is another important element, where students learn to listen closely and shape their sound with intention. I also bring attention to breathing with rhythm, helping players connect their body’s natural flow with the music they create. I work with learners who want to perform, record, or simply express themselves with passion. Some aim to create their own songs, while others want to master performance skills. I support both paths with strategies that build skill, creativity, and confidence. Through structured practice, mindful techniques, and personal guidance, I help every student grow not only as a guitarist but also as a musician. My goal is for learners to play with clarity, emotion, and balance, while finding joy in every note.

My teaching approach to guitar is creative, structured, and supportive of every learner’s goals. I start by building strong fundamentals in technique, chords, scales, and rhythm. From there, I adapt lessons to the style each student is most passionate about, whether it’s acoustic, electric, classical, or jazz.
I place a big focus on mindful playing, where the guitar becomes more than an instrument—it becomes a tool for calmness and focus. Slow practice methods are at the heart of my teaching, helping students play with accuracy and confidence. I also encourage tone awareness, training the ear to recognize and create expressive sounds.
Breathing with rhythm is another part of my lessons, as it connects music with the natural flow of the body. I make sure learners understand how timing and phrasing can transform their playing. Alongside this, I introduce improvisation and songwriting to unlock creativity and personal expression.
I work closely with learners who aim to perform, record, or simply enjoy music deeply. Some students dream of building a career in music, while others seek confidence in their personal playing. In both cases, I guide them step by step to reach their goals.
With patient feedback, inspiring challenges, and practical tools, I help students grow not only as guitarists but also as musicians. My aim is for every learner to play with clarity, emotion, and confidence, while finding joy in the process.
