About Suzanna

Only person to always walk out of casinos with a money check, because that's where chess tournaments are being held! :))) Latest wins- 2023 Las Vegas National Open, Walter Brown Memorial, Las Vegas Open (1st place, 2nd place, 2nd place). Currently, I work as a chess coach with US schools. Online students come from all over the world, from Los Angeles to Oxford, Dubai to Hong Kong. I started chess at the young age of 5 and have graduated from the prestigious Chess Academy of Armenia, where I trained with Grandmasters from Armenia and abroad. My passion and dedication for the game has led me to win many national and international tournaments. At 17, I transitioned to a teaching career, receiving accreditation with my Teaching License by the Ministry of Education and the President of Chess Academy. My goal is to share my love of chess with my students, whether you're just starting or seeking to improve your skills. Join me for personalized and engaging lessons to discover the beauty and benefits of chess. Sign up today!

My students' 1st-3rd place achievements include: Las Vegas National Open, National K-12 Tournament, Scholastic, International Youth Championship, local Los Angeles and Las Vegas International Chess Festival tournaments.

Join me for private online lessons held on Zoom, with the use of ChessBase and Lichess. During our sessions, we cover a range of topics, including strategic planning, tactical vision, theory of openings, and endgame techniques. But, most importantly, my goal is to help you enjoy the process of learning and the game itself.
Playing chess makes one smarter, and I'm here to make it fun!

Our classes are tailored to meet your needs and preferences. During our first session, we will evaluate your current level of chess and determine whether we will start with introductory basics, calculations, or deeper analysis. This session also gives us a chance to meet and ensure that you enjoy our lessons and the game of chess. (I'm so sure you'll love it - all of my students do!) :)

We'll finish the lesson by discussing how you can continue to improve your chess game outside of our lessons. I will provide you with resources and tips for studying and practicing on your own.

Start this journey together and make the game of chess both fun and intellectually enriching. Contact me to schedule your free consultation and take the first step towards mastering the royal game! :)

  • When did you start practicing? How did this passion find you?

I have grown up with chess in my life since from the start.
I have started chess since I was 5. I graduated from the Chess Academy of Armenia, where I was trained by grandmasters and Armenia's champions. I have won many Tournaments both on National and International levels.
I switched to a teaching career at 17, got accredited with my Teaching license by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport And the President of Chess Academy of Armenia.
  • Which artists or works affect you the most?

Euwe's play was notable for its logic and precise calculation of variations. Euwe was known as a strong tactician, as well as an expert in opening theory. He is the author of a large number of books, the most famous of which are chess textbooks and opening guides.
  • What are the qualities and skills required to succeed in this area?

    Determination, love and brains! :)
  • What is the most valuable advice you can give to help someone stay focused on creative projects?

As Fischer said, chess is not psychology, it is good moves! Hone tactical vision!
  • How would you describe your passion; how does it make you feel?

Chess is a good way for me to relax the mind and have fun. I also feel that it helps me to be more concentrated in every other aspect of my life. Some of my best and creative solutions to daily tasks have come when I'm deep in a chess game.
  • What creative achievements are you particularly proud of?

I am very proud of how I am able to make the lesson fun, get the student to calculate long variations yet make them simultaneously at the same time!
  • Have you ever been surprised by a student; by their ability or quick progression?

When my 5-6 years old students calculate long and tough lines, I start wondering whether I'm the genius coach, or are they the prodigy ones 😁
  • Being a Superprof is an art! What is your secret?

Having fun on this platform, enjoying the experience!!!
