About Amelie
Numbers started making sense once I stopped rushing and looked at the underlying mechanics. The smell of old textbooks and the scratch of a pencil on paper always takes me back to my own early struggles.
I hold an MSc in Statistics from UC Berkeley which gives me a rigorous foundation for teaching advanced calculus. Having taught 84 students, I have seen every possible misconception in the field. These 8 years of experience are applied to every problem we solve together.
I specialize in derivatives, integration techniques, implicit differentiation, definite integrals, u-substitution, area, volume, sequences, and series. It is quite rewarding to help others find that same logical consistency. Let us talk if you have a specific goal in mind.

Many students get lost when they try to memorize steps without understanding the underlying logic. Calculus is about understanding how rates of change interact with total accumulation. I offer a diagnostic skills check before we build the plan. My background as an MSc graduate from UC Berkeley ensures that I teach these subjects with absolute precision.
We systematically work through derivatives, integration techniques, implicit differentiation, definite integrals, u-substitution, area, volume, sequences, and series. Focus. My 8 years of experience mean I know exactly which concepts tend to derail progress during university exams.
This specific approach helps you avoid the common pitfalls that catch so many others off guard. I find it very satisfying to see a student finally master a topic that once seemed impossible.
