I am a high school senior muscian and a street performer. I play in my school jazz and pep bands. I also play in my own band called DoubleThink.

I like to start with the basics and work to the more advanced topics. In my experience, having students that think they know what is going on has only made it harder to teach them. I will drill my students in easier topics before moving to harder ones, but I will make sure that they understand what they are learning as well. I don't want my students to copy what I do because I told them to, but rather because they know it's advantages and the reasons to why we so it that way
