About Michael
Among my greatest strengths are lesson planning and Spanish conversation practice. In my 10 years as a state certified Spanish teacher I have come to learn that the traditional Spanish curriculum that is used in a public school does not do enough to give students the level of language skills that they would actually need to use it outside of the classroom. I think working with less students or one on one gives me that opportunity to help Spanish learners reach that level. I believe in making mistakes and working on them and always encouraged, and helped my students to achieve their absolute best in any setting. This was evident during quarantine teaching because of COVID where my honors level students who went on to the AP level after returning to in person.

Every lesson works towards accomplishing a small goal or objective. Lessons are made to use the activities and tools that work best for the student once that is determined. Ed puzzles, flash cards, videos, reading passages and questions Each lesson would start with a short review or activity that would recall prior knowledge. Depending on the student need, certain skills will get more attention in the lesson so that reading, writing, listening and speaking skills would improve. My lessons are designed for all levels of learning from the beginner level all the way to college level depending on the student's needs.
