I have less experience in teaching than others because I am only 18 years old. Still, I have some experience since I gave private lessons in my high school. This was in combination with English tutoring. I also went to another school and I gave a workshop in a group.

Normally I first show the student a very good speech about something very nonsensical so that he or she learns that the subject of a speech is not even very important. Then I start with the basics, such as the structure of a speech and a number of figures of speech that make up for a speech. When all these things have been learned, I give them an assignment to write their own speech and to present it. In this way, the student learns not only how to write a speech, but also the body language associated with public speaking.
