About Loui
I’m a student who has lived in Japan for at least my entire life. I may not be Japanese but my passion and knowledge for the country is strong. Growing up as a foreigner in Japan made me feel proud. I achieved a life time opportunity for myself. Because of my confidence and love for learning Japanese, I was always one of the best students in my old school. Now, I’m still learning Japanese but in “extensions level” to improve my skills more. I loved teaching kids since I was in primary school since I had a school club activity before. Every younger kids were always amazed by my speaking skills despite I was a foreigner. Teaching them my native language made me realise that I was good at teaching kids. This made me want to tutor them more now that I’m a teenager.

I will be teaching how to write kanji, hiragana and katakana, read Japanese texts, communicate with passion and have fun in general. Learning is important as well as having fun. To make the lesson more enjoyable and engaging, I often have a small talk with a student and teach them the questions they struggle with. People learn in different ways so I will listen and learn at the same pace with them so they could actually understand.
