About Noelle
I am a 3.9 GPA student at the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work, with past tutoring experience of family members and Special Ed kids in High School. Before I transferred to my current school, I was part of the Student Government Association and Honors Program at the Community College of Allegheny County. Currently, I am part of the National Society of Leadership and Success as of January 2026.
I am very passionate about being able to teach others and make learning for someone more accessible, fun, and engaging.
As someone who has struggled with traditional learning in the past, I am very understanding of different learning needs and open to all types of learning styles. I am not judgmental and I believe in your ability to learn and grow, no matter how!

My first language is German, so I am happy to work with people of ALL ages learning German as well as international German students who need help understanding their homework better.
As my student, it is very important to me that your tutoring needs and learning style are prioritized. I am a great and consistent communicator and very accommodating and understanding of everyone's individual needs. Two teaching styles I personally tend to use are using diagrams or illustrations to visualize what I'm explaining and using examples for practice to support critical thinking skills. I am happy to learn about what learning approach works for you and take that approach to tutor you. I also intend the sessions to be fun and engaging to be in.
Before tutoring starts, I want to find out what you would like to work on and either use that information or collaborate with you to develop a lesson plan so that we know what the tutoring sessions will cover. This will also include discussing what learning style works for you so that I can integrate that into our sessions. Depending on what we work on during a tutoring lesson, I will use worksheets and diagrams that are useful for language learning to work through whatever you intend to learn with you. A session will usually start with us clearly going through our objectives and discussing your progress and current goal. Then I will quickly go over what I plan on going over during that session, including showing the worksheets or diagrams I have that will help with your learning and then we will get started. The sessions will focus on what YOU want to work on so a lot of our lesson plans will simply depend on what you would like to go over.
Example: We go over different pronouns of a word(s) and how it is used. I will provide a table of all possible variations of the word(s) and once we have gone over that, we will practice with a worksheet and I will quiz you on what you learned at the end of the session. I may also give you a worksheet to work on until the next session. We will review what you learned that session at the beginning of the next session again.

I have previous tutoring experience from High School when I was helping special ed students with their school work. I also grew up helping my little sister with her homework after school whenever she needed help.
