About Lana
I am a dedicated and approachable English tutor who is passionate about helping learners build confidence and reach their academic potential. As a matric graduate with a Bachelor's Pass and a Level 6 in English, I have a strong foundation in the subject and previous experience tutoring children while I was at school. I understand that every learner is different, which is why I take a patient and encouraging approach to teaching. I want to make English easier, more enjoyable and less intimidating, while helping students develop skills they can confidently use both inside and outside the classroom. My goal is not only to help learners improve their marks, but also to help them believe in their own abilities.

My teaching approach is patient, supportive and personalized to each learner’s individual needs. Each one-hour lesson will focus on building confidence, improving understanding and strengthening key English skills through clear explanations, practical exercises, reading, writing, vocabulary and conversational activities. I have experience tutoring children while I was still in school, which taught me how to communicate concepts in a simple and engaging way. Having achieved a Level 6 in English, with the highest level being 7, I aim to create a comfortable learning environment where primary and high school learners feel encouraged to ask questions, learn from mistakes and make steady progress. I will adapt my teaching methods according to each learner’s strengths, challenges and school requirements, making every lesson productive and enjoyable.
