About Jessica
I am a playwright, performer, director and teacher with a Master of Arts (Writing) through Swinburne University and over thirteen years experience in professional theatre. I have worked with Year 12 students at Kingsway Christian College, Carey Baptist College and Cyril Jackson on OSP and Monologue prep since 2015. I also offer audition prep for university performing arts program, and have tutored successful entrants to VCA, WAAPA and NIDA. I have teaching experience from kindergarten to university and have worked with year fives and sixes auditioning for specialist arts programs at Mt Lawley Senior High School and John Curtin Collge of the Arts. and have worked with I am currently studying towards a Bachelor of Secondary Education, and teach at Stage Coach Theatre Arts School. I was a sessional lecturer at Curtin for the third year devising unit in 2014, and will be giving a performance based lecture at UWA on Jane Austen in 2018.

I work collaboratively with students, focusing on a teacher-led interactive methodology that prioritizes process driven character development, internalization, physicality and developing a strong understanding of creative practitioners and cultural theory. I am able to provide dramaturgical support on the narrative structure and characterisation of original pieces, as well as help with character development, physicality and presentation.
